F1 News: Scuderia Ferrari dominated the FP1 and FP2 sessions of the F1 Hungarian GP. On that basis, Max Verstappen realized that it would be difficult to beat the Prancing Horse team.

In free practice which took place at the Hungaroring Circuit, Friday (29/7) evening WIB, Verstappen had to settle for finishing second in FP1. He was 0.130 seconds behind Carlos Sainz who was the fastest.

Then, his RB18 car had problems in FP2. As a result, the Red Bull Racing driver failed to perform optimally and had to settle for finishing in fourth place. He was 0.283 seconds behind another Scuderia Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc.

“It’s a bit complicated as expected here. Just trying to find a balance from high to low speed. Sometimes it works a little better, sometimes it’s a little more complicated but it’s a bit of work to do,” he said.

“I think [Ferrari] slightly ahead of us, I think it will be difficult for us to beat them. But I think overnight we will try to close the gap as much as we can and see what the weather will give us tomorrow. I think in the dry season we can’t compete, so maybe in the rainy season we can, who knows? ”

“They certainly look competitive – but, of course, our main target is Ferrari,” he added, as reported by BBC Sports.
