Tennis News: Wimbledon champion 2019 season, Simona Halep will have to give her best in the second round against Belgian veteran Kirsten Flipkens.

The former world number 1 has never dropped a set against Flipkens and dominated their head to head 5-0 but that record was nearly broken when they met at Wimbledon this season. With a strong game, including an impressive net play, the Belgian took a 5-2 lead in the first set and 4-1 in the second.

However, the player who has bagged two Grand Slam titles is fighting it out for a nine-game winning streak at Wimbledon. Behind 2-5 in the first set, he won five games in a row to seal the first set victory thanks to attacks from the baseline area.
