Transfer News: Lazio are reportedly ready to finalize the transfer of Ivan Provedel from Spezia after holding a positive meeting with the goalkeeper’s agent on Sunday (31/07) evening local time. The Italian capital club still needs one more goalkeeper after signing Luis Maximiano from Granada.
Lazio are reportedly ready to finalize a deal to sign Spezia goalkeeper Ivan Provedel this summer after holding meetings with the player’s agent. The Aquile have been looking for a new goalkeeper to partner new signing Luis Maximiano following the departures of Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina earlier this month. Maurizio Sarri’s team have been eyeing Provedel for some time and believe he fits into the system adopted by the Italian coach.
The latest news reported by TMW reveals that Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito met with Provedel’s agent in Formello on Sunday evening local time to try and reach an agreement on the agent commission embedded in the contract. An agreement has been reached and now the Roma club need only the green light from Spezia to finalize the deal.
While the Ligurian club are looking for a replacement for the Italian goalkeeper, there are two choices, Bartlomiej Dragowski from Fiorentina or Marco Carnesecchi from Atalanta who had been a target for The Aquile before they switched because La Dea’s asking price was too high.
