Transfer News: According to reports circulating in Italy, Juventus have agreed with Aaron Ramsey on a severance pay of 4 million euros, according to the Welsh midfielder’s request.
The 31-year-old has become a burden on the Bianconeri financially, as he receives 7 million euros per year, one of the highest in Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
His contract runs until the summer of 2023, and finding a new club for him will not be easy, after Rangers sent him back six months on loan.
Juventus and Ramsey have discussed terminating mutually beneficial contracts for both parties, but there is still a €2 million gap between the player’s request and the club’s willingness.
However, IlBianconero.com reports that Juve are willing to pay Aaron Ramsey 4 million euros, according to the ex-Arsenal player’s request.
At least, it’s still cheaper than spending 14 million euros on gross wages in his final season in 2022/2023.
Plagued by performance issues and his inability to adapt to Italian football, Aaron Ramsey was only able to make 70 appearances in all competitions for the Old Lady.
Previously, Ramsey had been linked with Fatih Karamguruk under the care of former Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo. However, the Turkish club said they had given up on negotiating his contract because demand was too high.
