Transfer News: Borussia Monchengladbach have officially appointed Daniel Farke as the new coach to replace Adi Hutter. The 45-year-old coach signed a contract with Gladbach on Saturday (04/06) with a contract duration of three years or until 2025.
Farke’s longest coaching career to date was when he was in charge of Norwich City, where he managed the English club from 1 July 2017 to 6 November 2021 ago. During his career with The Swans, he had managed to lead his team to promotion to the English Premier League.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of 2022, he actually signed a contract with Russian club Krasnodar. However, the Russian invasion of Ukraine made him choose to terminate his contract, and is now coaching Borussia Monchengladbach.
“In Daniel Farke, we have managed to recruit a coach who fits perfectly into the path we want as a club. We are already looking forward to tackling the challenges that lie ahead of us, together with him,” said Gladbach’s sporting director, Roland Virkus.
Quoted from the official Borussia Monchengladbach website, Daniel Farke also invited his assistants, Christopher John and Edmund Riemer, to join him with the club nicknamed Die Fohlen.
Worth waiting for, whether Farke is able to lift the achievements of Gladbach, which last season they had to settle for a title and was only able to end the Bundesliga competition in 10th place.
