Asian Cup News: Indonesia U-19 national team player, Kakang Rudianto has big ambitions to be able to bring Garuda Nusantara through to the U-20 Asian Cup 2023. They are currently undergoing a training camp (TC) in Jakarta ahead of appearing in the qualifying round that will take place on 14-18 September 2022 at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya.
Acting as the host, the Indonesian U-19 national team will compete with three other countries, namely Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Timor Leste. The U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers will be participated by 44 countries which are divided into 10 groups. The winners of each group plus the five best runners-up will qualify for the finals which will take place in Uzbekistan on 1-18 March 2023.
To prepare for the qualification, the coach of the Indonesian U-19 national team, Shin Tae-yong, called as many as 36 players to undergo the TC which is currently underway.
“I and the players are ready to follow the coach’s directions in this training center,” said Kakang Rudianto as quoted from the PSSI official website.
The Persib Bandung player emphasized that one of the keys to being able to realize the targets that have been set is to always maintain cohesiveness.
“My target in the U-19 Team is to bring this team together and advance to the 2023 AFC U-20 Cup,” he added.
Together with other players, Kakang Rudianto will undergo TC until September 6, 2022. Eight days later, the Indonesian U-19 national team will start competing in the U-20 Asian Cup qualifying round.
In the first match, Garuda Nusantara will face Timor Leste on September 14, 2022. Next, face Hong Kong on September 16, 2022. The last one will face Vietnam on September 18, 2022.
