Alex Albon Expected To Be A Firmer Figure Off The Tracks –

F1 News: Williams boss, Jost Capito, sees Alex Albon as an aggressive driver when driving, but lacks the courage to express his opinion to the team.

This year, Alex Albon returns to Formula 1 action after last season’s role as Red Bull Racing’s reserve driver. He was able to perform to the standard expected by Williams.

The Thai man was able to present points on two occasions, namely when he finished P10 at the Australian GP and P9 at the Miami GP. Three points have been recorded so far.

These results came when his team was judged to have the weakest car on the grid for the 2022 season. However, this did not prevent Albon from showing off. He was consistently able to outperform the tandeman, Nicholas Latifi.

During the weekend of the French GP, Albon revealed that he is now adapting faster to the car and the team. Willliams boss, Jost Capito, of course satisfied with the performance of the former Red Bull driver.

But he admits he wants to see more of the same spirit and aggressiveness that he shows when racing outside the track. According to Capito, Albon becomes a very different person once he gets out of the car.

“As the relationship between the drivers and engineers gets closer, this will improve. We are satisfied with that. A year of not appearing in F1 taught him how the dynamic between pilot and team works. He has seen the workflow from the outside and that helps,” he added.
